A Tribute to our Fallen Soldiers

A letter to President Bush
You didn't let me down

"In the first place we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the man's becoming in very fact an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all.  We have room for but one flag, the American flag, and this excludes the red flag, which symbolizes all wars against liberty and civilization, just as much as it excludes any foreign flag of a nation to which we are hostile...We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

Theodore Roosevelt

Thanks for stopping by.

This is my collection of  thoughts, hopes, dreams and experiences.  I have tried to write about the many social and moral issues that affect our lives everyday.  I was encouraged to begin writing about 4 years ago and I quickly discovered I had found my niche'.  My webpage is my little corner of the world.  I can pretty much say anything I want here without the worry of a monitor or host to decide what I can and cannot share.

Our lives are full of too many experiences to write about.  By the time you decide you have made up your mind about something, it has already changed.  It seems strange to me that at one moment, our worlds are consumed with people and things that have taught us the meaning of passion, love, hope and loyalty, and then you turn around, and they are gone.  Not always by choice, but because, I guess, some things are meant to be temporary and some things are meant to be forever.  It would be nice to know one from the other at the start.

Anyhow, I hope you enjoy reading.  I once told a friend that was brutally honest about a poem I had just written that they all can't be masterpieces.  But I hope you find a few.
