Clearly Obscure

If no choices you were offered, no part or role to play
If our hearts release with clarity
Intent with souls sincerity
No image to portray.

Who is it that we’d be, our actions never driven
Emotions ne’er to counteract,
A spirit’s stroke of mere abstract,
And disregard forgiven.

Words to flow without restraint as carried by a breeze,
No thought of destiny or course
To drift not knowing end or source,
Obliged not to appease.

That which we reveal or that which we obscure?
How is it one defines
A spirit’s true design?
Of this I can’t be sure.
