ENDLESS

Just as the sun concludes it’s day, it’s golden rays upon the sea
And weightless clouds soar carelessly, no thought of destiny
Just as the mountains touch the sky in all their majesty
I was made for you, and you for loving me

Just as the starlight glistens throughout a darkened sky
And raindrops fall from Heaven like tears from hurting eyes
And eagles know their freedom as they spread their wings to fly

So how can I forget you, I think I’d rather try
To reach into the sunshine and erase it from the sky
To stop the stars from twinkling amongst a darkest night
Or stop the wings of eagles as they soar in graceful flight

I’d sooner stop the raindrops from falling to the ground
Or quiet rolling thunder so it doesn’t make a sound
When all these things I’ve done and all these things are through
That will be the day that I'll stop loving you
