HIS EYES
It
wasn't for her beauty and it wasn't her physique
But deep inside the reason, he found her so unique
If only you could see his eyes, each time that she was near
Like no one else existed, the world would disappear
And every time he touched her it was tender loving strokes
He listened with great interest to each word she ever spoke
A smile would come so naturally from somewhere deep inside
Constraining not the love he felt; He couldn't if he tried
So many years he honored her, his heart became her throne
In happy times and heartache she would never be alone
Never could he want for more, she filled his heart with wonder
He loved with such completeness that none could tear asunder
And now the years
have come and gone and left with them a trace
And others see the evidence of time left on her face
To someone else that looks at her there's been no compromise
Time stood still and always will when looking through His Eyes
