One Wish Come True

If I could have one wish come true and consequence was naught
I’d only need this one appeal
To make you mine … to make you real
You’re all my soul has sought

And if I held you in my arms, so tightly -- so secure
I’d whisper you a love so rare
A promise -- all I have to share
Forever to endure

And if you needed comfort, when sadness fills your day
I’d dry your tears, I’d hold you near
Whisper words you need to hear
I’d take the pain away

And I would share your confidence, no matter what the feat
I’d smile and let you know you shine
Let you know I’m glad you’re mine
My confidence, complete

And I would freely give myself, whenever you desire
I’d give you all without control
So willfully, with all my soul
Whatever you require

If wishes ever do come true and some folks think they do
I promise all of this and more
To cherish, honor and adore
Someone that wishes too
