Tiny Little Silhouette

Oh tiny little silhouette, where has thy wonder gone?
You've learned to cast your heart aside
You've sent it somewhere else to hide
Lest pain will linger on.

Oh tiny little silhouette, your whispers are your own
You will not tell your secrets true
Of hurtful things they do to you
But face it all alone.

Oh tiny little silhouette, in spite of brutal hands
You reach for hope devoid of blame
Of those who will not feel the shame
Or contempt of their commands

Oh tiny little silhouette, you love without regard
You give no thought to your dismay
You love completely, anyway
The ones that left you scarred

Oh tiny little silhouette, I only wish I knew
Why you must suffer so much pain

I search yet I cannot explain
And know not what to do.
