Where The Fallow Daisies Grow

She laid right there beside him where the fallow daisies grow
Tracing with her fingertips a name I didn't know
The rain was falling slowly but she didn't seem to care
The breeze was blowing softly through her beautiful gray hair

She looked so very sad to me, he'd left her here alone
She touched her fingers to her lips then pressed them on the stone
Never had I seen such love, I saw it in her touch
And somehow I just knew it, he'd loved her just as much

Silently I watched her as she slowly walked away
I couldn't put that thought aside, not even for one day
And so I then decided I just had to go once more
Hoping I could catch a glimpse of what I'd seen before

She laid there right beside him where the fallow daisies grow
And with my fingertips I traced this name I didn't know
A love so strong that even death could not begin to sever
Ne'er again to be apart but side by side forever
