Mistake, I know you well
I wonder if others around me can tell
I think they might be watching
But question if they care
Maybe judging silently yet
Maybe unaware

I'm certain others know your ways
I hear of you on many days
You make your presence known
As a reminder on each face
Maybe fleeting thoughts yet they
Will never be erased

Again today, someone will hope
In spite of you their hearts can cope
And once again will wonder why
They didn't see you waiting
Luring them to act with haste
For things so captivating

And now you wait to borrow
Another heart tomorrow
But hopefully we might have learned
To keep you at a distance
And save you for another day
In spite of your persistence
